FOLLOW THE LAWS AND TEACHING OF GOD
13 "If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." —II Chronicles 7.
8 "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" —Micah 6.
24 "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." —Jude.
We tempt God. We dare Him to challenge us or to reprove us for the way we live. We dare God. We act as if we do not believe Him when He tells us how we should live and what will be the consequences if we do not live according to His teaching. We give the impression that we think we know better how to live than God does. God made us.
7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." —Genesis 2. Should the Creator not be wiser than that which has been created?
Recently there have been some very severe weather conditions that could destroy property and life. People were informed of the dangers and encouraged to leave the areas where the storms were predicted to hit. This was for the safety and welfare of the people. Many people refused to look for safety, choosing to remain in destruction's path. Some lost their life.
Often we are like these people, choosing to travel contrary to the teachings of God. In so doing we often lose our life our Christian life here in this world. Follow laws and teaching of God.
