"TEMPTED AND TRIED"
Elder Louis Culver
Often the children of God seem to be tempted and tried. We question why this is. If we will think for a moment, we may be able to discern the answer. God never tempts His children; therefore, temptations come from the Devil. When our very being is tried, we know God does not try His people.
Trials come from the Devil. Trials and temptations originate with the Devil. He is forever devising plans for our downfall. If it were possible, he would totally destroy us. The truth is that the Devil cannot destroy us. Yet, he never stops trying.
"While there are others living about us, Never molested tho' in the wrong." The reason they are not molested is because they are already in step with the Devil. Those who walk with the Devil are not tempted and tried by the Devil. They are already walking in unison with him.
The blessings of the children of God far surpass all the evils of the Devil. In fact, there is no comparison, only contrast, between them.
Let us always remember to give God all the praise, honor and glory for His great love toward us. With patience let us walk with God daily.
