ORDINATION OF ELDER DANIEL D. DEAN

September 30, 2007

On a call from Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Sylacauga, AL, a Presbytery was formed to ordain Brother Daniel Dean as an Elder.

Elder Bufrey Dean was Moderator; Elder Louis Culver was Clerk.

Elder Steve Milner questioned Brother Jeff Kelley about the qualifications of Brother Daniel Dean. All questions were answered favorably.

Elder Mike Smith questioned Brother Dean on the Articles of Faith in the 2006 Lower Wetumpka minutes. All answers were accepted.

Elder Roswell Smith prayed the Ordination Prayer; the presbytery laid hands on Brother Daniel Dean.

Sister Cindy, wife of Brother Dean, was seated beside him. Elder Steve Stathelson began the Charge, using II Timothy 3:12-17. He admonished Brother Dean to preach the Word; to preach salvation by grace and grace alone; to labor for peace; to preach the gospel in peace and in love.

Elder Bufrey Dean, the father of Brother Daniel, continued with the Charge, using Micah 6:8, "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" He presented a new Bible to Brother Daniel. Elder Bufrey Dean charged Elder Daniel Dean and his wife to be faithful in their service among the household of faith.

The minutes were read and received. Brother Daniel Dean was returned to Oak Grove Church as an ordained Elder. On motion the Presbytery was dissolved. Everyone extended to Elder Daniel Dean and his wife, Sister Cindy, a handshake of faith and love. Elder Randy Dillon closed the service with prayer.
